How the AI Agent Builder works

A simple guide for anyone who has never built an AI agent before. Explained briefly, with pictures, no tech jargon.

1. Build a helper
2. Attach a checklist
3. Save & release
4. Download & pay
You don't need an account to build your helper. You only pay when you save, release or download it. Access is then valid for 24 hours.

Where do I start?

Open ai-agentsolution.com. Click the green button Build an agent now →. This takes you to the building canvas.

The site is available in German, English, Italian and Spanish. You can switch the language in the top right corner.

Understanding the canvas

The canvas has three types of building blocks. You drag them into place with your mouse and connect them with a line.

AI model

Sets which AI program powers the helper — e.g. Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.

Agent

This is your AI helper. It gets a task and instructions on how to complete it.

Skill

A checklist you can give your helper so it doesn't forget anything.

Choose an AI model

Before you build your helper, choose which AI it's meant for:

Important: once a helper is connected to an AI model, this can no longer be changed. Only the Clear button resets everything.

Create a helper (agent)

There are four ways to do this. The first is the easiest.

① Fill it in yourself

Click + Custom agent and fill in the form:

Name
What your helper should be called
Category
What it's meant for
Model
Sonnet (standard), Opus (more thorough), Haiku (faster)
System prompt
In your own words: what should it do, how should it go about it?
Todos
One task per line

Finally click Create agent — done.

② Have an AI suggest one

  1. Copy the prepared text and paste it into your AI (e.g. ChatGPT)
  2. Paste the AI's answer back into the Agent Builder
  3. Accept the suggestion — name, instructions and tasks are already filled in

③ Pick one from the library

Under 📚 Agent library you'll find ready-made helpers to click into place.

④ Import a file

Use 📥 Import agents to read in your own, previously downloaded files.

Create a checklist (skill)

A skill is a small checklist your helper always follows in a certain situation. No need to connect anything with the mouse — you attach the skill directly to the helper.

Click + New skill and fill in:

Name
Short title, e.g. "Spelling check"
When it applies
For which task should the checklist be used?
Content
The checklist itself, point by point
Output format
Optional: how the result should look

Save with Save skill. Here too you can have a checklist suggested by an AI, just like with the helper.

Have a whole team created

Need several helpers at once, e.g. for a whole project? Just describe what you need help with — the rest runs almost by itself.

  1. Choose an AI (Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini) and briefly describe what you need helpers for
  2. Copy the prepared text, paste it into the AI, bring the answer back
  3. Look at the suggestions — the AI proposes suitable roles
  4. Only select the roles you actually need

Saving and releasing

💾 Save project secures your progress. 📂 Load project brings it back.

The Edit / Release ✓ switch shows whether you're still working on the project or marking it as finished.

Important: Save and Release only work with payment — just like downloading (see next section).

Downloading and paying

Building your helper is always free. You only pay once you save, release, or download your finished helper as a file. After that you can export for 24 hours.

You can choose between several file formats — which one you need depends on where you want to use your helper:

.md

For Claude Code, one helper per file

.txt

Plain text, usable with any AI

.json

All helpers together in one file

.agent

Ready-made package, one helper per file

.yaml

For technically skilled systems

In the download window: Copy, Download as file or Download selected.

Where do I use my helper?

The Agent Builder also asks where you want to use your helper, and adjusts the file accordingly:

ChatGPTGeminiClaudeRegular chat

How do I talk to my helper?

For ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, paste your helper's instructions as custom instructions (in a Custom GPT, a Gem, or a Project). After that you just chat normally — your helper automatically follows its role.

For Regular chat, paste the instructions as your very first message. From then on the AI acts as your helper for the rest of the conversation.

Have several helpers in one file (e.g. the .json catalog)? Address one specifically, e.g. "As [Name]: ..." — that tells the AI which role you mean.
